Yes! Davana™ can easily be grown in outdoor areas, whether in a container or planted in the garden. Just make sure to keep them in a nice shaded area where they are protected from the late afternoon sun.
Sun bleaching in plants can occur from high heat exposure, causing them to turn a sickly pale colour. This often can occur indoors if shade plants, such as ferns, are positioned in an area of the home that is much too hot or when the plant is positioned near windows or under air conditioning/heating units. In this case, we would recommend pruning off all affected growth as it will not revert to its natural colouring. We recommend placing you, Davana™, in a well-lit area out of direct sunlight with a good watering routine (water once the soil becomes dry). We would also suggest giving your plant a liquid feed with an All-Purpose Indoor plant fertiliser. This can be applied every four weeks for the next three months. Luckily Davana™ is a very tough fern and often can be pruned to ground level, where it will reshoot with new growth.
